PADLET WITH ELT

Padlet is a website that provides users with a digital canvas. The user can post text, videos and images from a mobile device or a desktop. One of the great appeals of Padlet for classroom use is the fact that many people can post to the same board at the same time, making it very suitable for collaborative work and the creation of projects. For example, the picture below shows a board where students were asked to post images that they associated with consumerism.

HAVE YOU EVER HEARD ABOUT STORYBIRD?

Storybird is a language arts tool. We use illustrations to inspire Members to write stories, and encourage ongoing writing practice with badges and other rewards. Storybird is free to use for everyone. Purchases such as memberships (not sold to students) and printed copies of your own story are optional and not necessary to use the Site.

All stories in the public library are fully moderated by humans, and public comments are tightly filtered through a combination of human and machine moderation to remove PII, and to foster a positive environment suitable for all ages. Stories written by students are not allowed in the public library.

Educators onboard students directly by creating accounts or inviting them via class code. They may create and issue assignments, moderate comments, review student work, apply a grade or comment. Educators may choose to run a fundraiser where family members may purchase a copy of their child’s story.

Students have access to our curated illustration library and use those images to illustrate their stories. Stories written by students are not allowed in the public library. If the student is part of a class, published stories are shared with the class, any can be commented on by other students in the same classroom. Purchase options are made available so parents can purchase their child’s work as a personal keepsake.

PAWTOON

PowToon is Web-based animation software that allows you to quickly and easily create animated presentations with your students by manipulating pre-created objects, imported images, provided music and user created voice-overs. PowToon is used by businesses to create engaging, creative presentations that capture attention, and can be similarly used for educational assessment and content delivery. There is a free version available, as well as paid subscription that allows for more features.

SOCRATIVE

Socrative is an interactive web-based student-response system that can help teachers spark conversation and learning through user-created polls and quizzes. Students access questions via a Room Code, and answers register immediately on the teacher's computer as the students submit their responses on almost any device. When everyone has responded, teachers can display the results using the "How did we do?" button. Teachers can create quizzes, quick questions, and exit slips that allow for multiple-choice, true/false, and one-sentence-response questions that can be graded with feedback for each student. In addition to those basic assessment strategies, students can team up to play Space Race, a collaborative activity that allows student teams to answer questions as quickly as they can; the teacher can access real-time results of this race as well as determine student teams. At the end, teachers can see quiz data and download it through an Excel sheet or email it for further planning.

LET'S MEET WITH EDMODO!

Edmodo is an educational website that takes the ideas of a social network and refines them and makes it appropriate for a classroom. Using Edmodo, students and teachers can reach out to one another and connect by sharing ideas, problems, and helpful tips. A teacher can assign and grade work on Edmodo; students can get help from the entire class on Edmodo. It is a safe environment. There is no bullying or inappropriate content, because the teacher can see everything that is posted on Edmodo. Also parents can join the class to bring a level of transparency that is difficult to achieve without technology. All in all Edmodo is a grat companion to just about any class.
Groups are basically classes for students to join. It is very easy to create a group and just as easy for students to join that group. To do this click on Create in the Groups area of Edmodo (on the left hand side below your profile picture).

PINTEREST IN LANGUAGE LEARNING

Pinterest is social media network that allows users to share images associated with project, goods, and services, and to visually discover new interests by browsing images others have posted.
You can think of Pinterest like a web-based pinboard or bulletin board — but with greater organizational functionality. You can also think of it as a bookmarking tool.
People typically pin or save images they found on the web (or on Pinterest itself) to different boards (used to categorize their image collections). Many of the images saved on Pinterest are clickable, and open up in a new tab to the original web page where they were found,
For example, Pinterest is a very popular tool for recipes. People can browse through images of delicious looking food, click on an image that looks good and be taken straight to the recipe instructions when they click on it. They can also save it to their own recipe board so they can access it later.
We can also use Pinterest for using in Language Learning with preparing useful schemes. If you. want to have a look at in my Pinterest account, please click this link!

QUIZLET

Quizlet is a free website which enables teachers and students to create digital flash cards. That’s not where the magic stops, however. Quizlet can automatically generate interactive games and even tests of the material you enter into it. Five or ten minutes of typing (or pasting!) up front can yield literally hours’ worth of automatically-assessed activities inside and outside of the classroom, on computers, smartphones, tablets, and even pencil-and-paper printed exercises. Let's see our Quizlet!

Have you ever used Kahoot?

In addition to live games, you can also send kahoot challenges that players complete at their own pace – for example, for homework or remote training. Let's take a glance to our Kahoot play:
